Hello, welcome to my website! I recently graduated from Hasso Plattner Institute with a M.Sc. in IT-Systems Engineering. For my Master's I specialized in human-computer interaction and mobile & embedded systems. But please check out my projects to see the kind of programming I did so far.
I consider myself a generalist software engineer and I am currently looking for a position where I can solve challenging problems and learn new skills.
I have worked on web applications in Ruby and Python, in-memory databases in C++, gesture interaction with computer vision through a Kinect Sensor, touch applications on iPhone, iPad, and Microsoft Surface tabletop.
I am interested in working on scalable web systems, mobile applications, applied computer vision & machine learning, and developing products with user-experience in mind. I enjoy working in uncertainty where it is necessary to develop new algorithms, and research novel approaches instead of repeating the same routine over and over.
Google sponsored my work on the Python interpreter which improved the performance and reduced the memory footprint of unicode strings as outlined in PEP 393. A modified version of this will be released with Python 3.3.
An iPhone app for no-nonsense note-taking, synchronizes the notes with plain text files in your Dropbox folder.
High-precision interaction with back-projected floors based on high-resolution multi-touch input.
Tangible building blocks for camera-based interactive tables utilizing fiducial markers and optical fiber bundles.
